Shaylynn was amazing—she helped us secure a spot just the day before and made sure we were well-prepared for the adventure. She was a fantastic hostess, explaining everything clearly and keeping the excitement high. The party bus ride to the launch area added a fun vibe to the morning, and watching the balloon being prepped for launch was fascinating. We got plenty of opportunities to take photos and soak in the process. Once we were airborne, Pilot John made the ride feel effortless and magical. The views were breathtaking, and the flight was so smooth, from launch to landing. The landing itself was impressively gentle, adding to the overall incredible experience. If you’re looking for a memorable and well-organized hot air balloon ride, this is it. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: That was an amazing experience! We took the wine tour followed by the hot air balloon ride next day. The wineries were great! And the balloons ride is just another level - sooooo beautiful and unforgettable! The hostess Stacy was great - very friendly, gave very clear instructions, was fun and easygoing. But the special place in our hearts took Meagan!! She’s an absolutely amazing woman- she was the bus driver, the bartender, the air balloon driver, and just a great, interesting and charming person! Thank you ladies so much for making our trip so memorable!

The wineries were great and informative. Our host controlled the music atmosphere on the bus and had each of us dancing by end of day. I highly recommend Uncorked Tours!

Experiencia negativa: Working on a formal complaint about the tour bus driver, Megan. Absolutely humiliated me by making an unnecessary comment while I was looking for my confirmation number, while in absolute silence she states; "it's nice of the company to hold your reservation without any proof of payment." Very mocking and absolutely no reason to have said it other than to instigate. Not only was I singled out, and made my experience an issue from the beginning, but to make a comment like that about my funds; "without proof of payment" was disgustingly disrespectful. And when I expressed my distaste and asked for her name she stood by her words saying, "I'm Megan, your bus driver, and you can go home. We have the right to refuse service, and I frankly I don't want you on the bus." Everything actually got recorded while I was calling the 800 number to find my reference number. So I'd like the recorded voicemail emailed to me, I already spoke to a representative who said they'd contact the manager and emailed them as well (manager). I'd like the voicemail of the recorded conflict for further evidence of my treatment of this experience. Staci was the one who actually defused the situation, while Megan kept her attitude. She admitted to have acted this way because I was frustrated with the unorganized system between this company (Uncorked Tours) and Groupon. I decided to spend my birthday with this company (a birthday treat to myself) and this was my experience. Of course I cried of embarrassment bathroom after our first stop.

Experiencia negativa: Definitely don't book this tour if you are coming from out of town. I booked a sunrise hot air balloon ride the September 2023 that got cancelled because of rain (which is totally understandable). We then rescheduled to May 2024 and planned a whole trip around the hot air balloon ride because we really wanted to use the tickets. They texted us an hour before we were meant to check in (at 4:19AM) to cancel because of "foggy patches." They won't refund you and we were suggested just to "book again next year if you can come back in the summer." Their strict no refund policy combined with their low threshold for cancelling a flight makes this a poor option for anyone who isn't living in the San Diego area. If you sort from low to high reviews you can see how many tours they cancel. Plus when I called this morning, our conversation with the company made it seem like they tend to cancel many rides. Obviously, this is a weather sensitive endeavor and safety is first. I wish they would at least offer a later time if your flight was cancelled due to "inclement" weather because most mornings in San Diego (this week in May at least) are cloudy with some foggy patches... There is another company called California Dreamin Balloon Tours that is a little pricier but seems to offer a better service with less cancellations if you are set on visiting Temecula and want to experience a hot air balloon ride.

Experiencia negativa: I purchased a Groupon voucher in April 2023 for a hot air balloon flight with Uncorked Tours, looking forward to an exceptional experience. However, my excitement was met with frustration not once, but thrice, as each time I scheduled my flight, it was canceled within a day or two due to "inclement weather." I understand the need for safety and weather considerations, but the repeated cancellations without any flexibility or solution offered became exceedingly inconvenient. As the expiration date of my voucher approached (04/15/2024), I reached out to Groupon seeking a refund, given that the repeated cancellations over the course of a year left me unable to utilize the service I paid for. Groupon informed me that they would contact the merchant for approval of my refund. Yet, here I am, still waiting for any resolution or response from Uncorked Tours. It is disheartening that my anticipation for a memorable experience has turned into a year-long ordeal with no flight to show for it and my money seemingly lost to an expired voucher. The lack of communication and resolution from both Uncorked Tours and Groupon has left me exceedingly disappointed. I would caution potential customers about the potential for cancellations and the difficulty in obtaining refunds. My experience has been far from satisfactory, and I hope that others will not have to endure a similar situation.

Experiencia fantástica: We had an awesome hot air balloon ride with Megan as our pilot. The customer service from booking the reservation, checking in, and the flight, and ride back were flawless. The staff was fun, polite, and communicative. Be sure to take $30 extra per person to tip the awesome staff who work very hard to make the experience great (they can also process on a credit card). There were 14 of us in a 20 person basket so we had plenty of space to move around. I highly recommend this tour company for a hot air balloon ride.

Somerset winery was probably the best wine but all 3 had some nice ones. Bus has seen better days but it got us to where we’re going.

The crowd was mixed from 21+ to 60 but everyone got along great and all connected, Staci made sure of that… she takes really good pictures too. All of the locations we stopped at wine was good as well !!

Experiencia positiva: I bought a Groupon for the wine tour experience for my boyfriend and I and overall we had a blast! There were about 24 people total on this group and everyone was super friendly and fun. For a second, it felt like we were part of a photoshoot and not a wine tour because of all the pictures we were asked to pose for, but it works for those that want that. The only reason I'm leaving 4 stars and not 5 is because, although our email confirmation states that there is a mandatory $20 gratuity per person for groups of 4 or more, it was mandatory for just the 2 of us. I had cash to leave a tip at the end, but not a $40 tip (for the both of us). Why not just charge $20 more per person instead of asking for an additional charge on the day of? Also, it's a little weird being asked to tip/give gratuity before getting to experience the service, in my opinion. Nevertheless, an overall great experience!!

Experiencia fantástica: Celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday on this wine tour. Megan, our driver, host, photographer and DJ was great. The tour was enjoyable and we learned so much about the vineyards and history of how wine is made for us today. Can’t wait to hit the balloon tour next, make sure to get Megan as your host. She’s a legend!

Experiencia negativa: I intended to give a 1-star review, but considering we completed the hot air balloon experience, I reluctantly rate it 2 stars. We booked the tour package by calling the company, and the representative failed to mention the mandatory gratuity for groups of 4 or more. We were surprised to receive a text the day before departure, notifying us of the mandatory gratuity, which had to be paid at checkin. At that point, we couldn't cancel the tour! The company's intentional withholding of additional costs is dishonest and left us quite upset. I do not recommend this untrustworthy business. P.S.: On the day of the flight, the pilot was late, and we were the last group to take off.

Experiencia positiva: Interesting experience overall. Decided to go with this tour for a birthday wine tour. Fun for the most part but not so much of a wine tour. Bus showed up a bit late than scheduled and stuff for the inside was being bought while passengers were being loaded; water, juice and champagne. Seemed a bit last minute. Stopped at 3 different wineries and one of them consisted of a brief dive in on how it is made. The others were just drinking 5 different wines at each. Some bread at the first one. Guide was generous when it came time to taking photos. No snacks given on the bus, and only one mimosa given over the span of the drives which was unfortunate. Not big on the recommended prepaid gratuity as it is pricey as is and believe that should be something paid at the end, after the service has been given. Overall, not bad, but would definitely try winging a tour on my own in the future stopping at different wineries.

Experiencia positiva: Overall pretty good experience. I thought the tour was good but they were a bit shady on how they charged gratuity. They said you may have to pay more upon arrival and then don’t specify how much you need to pay. They then asked everyone to pay 20-25$ up front. I think it’s misleading when companies do this I would prefer you guys just bake that in to the overall price and be transparent instead of telling us we need to pay more after arrival.

Experiencia negativa: We came to visit my husband during his deployment and stumbled upon this Groupon deal, thinking it would make for a fantastic experience. When we purchased it, we called to book for the 24th and were assured of availability. Following the Groupon instructions, I informed them of our voucher. However, later, we were informed they might be full and that an additional $50 per person was required due to the holiday rush. Despite not receiving confirmation, and calling back a few days later, we were told they were prioritizing non-Groupon customers willing to pay the extra $50 fee. They suggested contacting Groupon to claim it was a mistaken purchase for a refund because they wouldn't accommodate us. I'm sure the tours are great so this is just a review for the company itself. My suggestion is to not be on Groupon if they didn't want to honor it. Super disappointing.

Experiencia negativa: AVOID UNCORKED TOURS! Bought 2 balloons ride tickets this August, 2023.. We have been reschedulied 4 times! Each reservation has been canceled due to “poor weather.’ We I asked for a refund after the 4th cancellation. They stated, you don’t qualify for a refund because you didn’t buy the protection plan. The only plan you should have for this place is to avoid them completely. I ended up calling my credit card company and received a full refund. Apparently, they have already received several complaints.

Experiencia fantástica: Oh My Goodness I cannot rave about this place enough! My fiancé surprised me with a hot air balloon ride and it was beyond gorgeous. I cannot say enough good things about our Pilot Josh he was incredible and deserves 10 stars. Funny, kind, patient, explained everything from top to bottom… so great. We did the 2 person flight and it was well worth it! The Crew Men (Jerry and Braden) were wonderful and kind and hilarious. And lastly, extra special shout out to our hostess Staci. She calmed my nerves and made me feel so comfortable. Such a sweet and great hostess. Very attentive which I appreciated. Things to know before you go from a rookie lol- Wear Close toed shoes. Bring another layer of clothing (coat, sweater, something!) Couldn’t hurt to wear or bring a hat *all winter prep. Happy Flying!

Experiencia fantástica: What an AMAZING, once-in-a-lifetime experience! Everything was so well coordinated, and the staff communicated with us so well. Our pilot, John, was fun to talk to and an expert with over 30 years of experience. We felt safe and taken care of with him. We were upgraded to a private balloon ride, and it was the experience of a lifetime! Can not thank this company enough for that! The area is absolutely beautiful, the views are incredible, with both mountain ranges and vineyards. The balloon ride itself was peaceful and smooth. 10/10 would recommend flying with them!

Experiencia negativa: Although the tour claims to cover cost of travel and tastings, if you do not purchase "wine tickets" they will not refund you in lieu of cancellation. "Wine tickets" are strategically labeled under the guise of 'insurance' so that people are forced to reschedule or pay for a service they tried to cancel. The clause states funds will not be reissued if "tickets were purchased through promotions or discounted rate." Mine were purchased at full price through the website, yet the company negates culpability. After several voicemails/attempts on my end, the person I spoke to over the phone read to me the "owner's notes" on my dispute, which basically said "no refund will be issued." Who wants to do business with a company that bullies their customers into using their services? I will see to it that my friends/colleagues/family do not support this business going forward.

Experiencia negativa: The wine was very underwhelming and not tasty. The hosts were friendly and kind, however the “charcuterie” we were promised was just a piece of sourdough bread with melted Brie. We were also obliged to pay $80 in gratuities before the tour even started as we are a group of 4. All in all, a pretty disappointing experience.

Feliciano and Debbie are the best, so so friendly, and really made the tour extra fun. My only complaint would be that it went too fast - I wasn’t able to finish all of my tastings at the last winery. The mimosas on the bus made up for it!

Experiencia fantástica: Very fun wine tasting experience. Debbie our host was very friendly, taking photos of each group individually and ensuring everyone had a great time. We started off at Maurice Carrie Winery where we had baked brie cheese bread and a flight of 5 wines that were pre-selected that included 2 whites, a rose, and 2 reds. The second winery their was one tasting option with beer or wine choices. The last stop was Oak Mountain Winery where the scenery is beautiful. We were provided with a sparkling white wine then we choose the other five. Mimosas were provided on the bus between the first 2 wineries. Overall everyone had fun and I would definitely book another tour again.

There was no greeting, no wine expert or somm to explain the wines and one winery held it's tasting outside... in 110º temperatures!! It was an expensive awful experience!! In fact, this was more along the lines of a booze cruise, not a wine tasting experience!!

Experiencia negativa: Tried to reserve a wine tour using a Groupon, and not only did I experience the WORST customer service, but they then threw Groupon under the bus when I discovered that I couldn't book our tour using the Groupon on the website. She blamed Groupon and a "glitch," "had told them several times to change their information on their website" regarding redemption, and it was overall just not a great experience. We all refunded our Groupons and went with another wine tour. As businesses still recover from COVID losses, it might do you some good to not be rude and excerise some level of gratitude when people are spending hundreds to use your service.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently attended a wine tour in Temecula on a Wednesday (summer 2022) with two family members. Service: Our tour guide Debi was extremely informative, helpful, and present. She took my party's photos, had a service-first attitude at each phase of the trip, and did her best to accommodate with my last minute request with photos. Cost: affordable for the value. For $89, I got to try a total of 17 wines: 5 from the first and 6 from the latter wineries. With the exception of one wine from Maurice Carrie (Pinot Noir was a bit stale), I loved the range and taste of my samples. Venues: Each winery had their own strengths. For savory treats, the sourdough brie at Maurice Carrie was superb. For service, Long Shadow Ranch Winery was the best (thanks Dave). For ambience, Oak Mountain was ideal. Transportation: it was a party bus with leather seats and air conditioning. 2 mimosas were provided onboard in-between each leg of traveling between wineries. Overall, I had a great experience with Uncorked Tours and would recommend it to family and friends.
