Original review: This company sold car insurance to me from Qualitas. I was in a hit and run while in Mexico. I suffered a spinal injury and my car was significantly damaged. The insurance company only covered the body work and left me paying for all the mechanical repairs from the auto shop they sent me to. My car has never worked properly since. They also haven't covered any medical treatment for my injury. Since I returned to Canada, I've been unable to get any help though the Qualitas contact provided by Lewis and Lewis, and they won't respond to my emails either.

It took quite a long time, due to the local contractor in Mexico, but once I involved Lewis and Lewis things got done. All staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

The repairs cost within a few dollars of their estimate and they paid me right away, even accepting the receipt written by hand on a page torn out of a school notebook by the local Mexican worker who did the repairs for me. I reached out to them to inquire if there would be anyway to cancel the policy and receive a refund as it was no longer needed. Experiencia fantástica: Osman was very observant and super helpful. He noticed that we booked three policies, one of which we hadn't completed correctly, so he called us, fixed our policy over the phone, and also applied a multi-policy discount we didn't know we qualified for.

Experiencia negativa: SCAM - STILL HAVENT GOTTEN REPAIRS OR MONEY FOR OUR CLAIM. READ THE OTHER 1-STAR REVIEWS - THIS ISNT UNCOMMON. I filed a claim for a collision from BCS Mexico in the beginning of February, 2024. The adjuster came out and gave me options for an estimate. We still have not gotten any repairs, or money for the repairs. We have left several voicemails to both our adjuster and qualitias and no one will return our call. Also, thankfully we had someone who spoke fluent Spanish in our group because the reps on the "English speaking line" when I called to report the claim couldn't understand me. Also our claims adjuster did not speak any English, despite the website claiming to have English speaking personnel to help you during the process - this was not the case in our experience.

Two years ago I was involved in an accident and filed a claim to recover my car repairs. I still have not received payment. Lewis and Lewis said the responsibility is on Qualitas, the Mexican insurance carrier. Lewis and Lewis sold me the policy and are handling the claim. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed with Lewis and Lewis. They will no longer have our business as well as our friends.

With the most reasonable cost compared to others, the service we received was simply superb every step of the way.. Example, just before crossing the border, we discovered the entry date was incorrectly entered by us...we won't be covered! Panic we called and surprised to find there was a real person at the other end, that person was Osman Melgar and he fixed the date, rewrote the policy and we're on our way! Amazing - going back to Vagabondos del Mar !!

When I asked my local Mexican brokerage company if their Qualitas prices were more competitive they told me to stay with Lewis and Lewis as they could not beat nor match their pricing.

Experiencia negativa: Since my review under the business name was removed, I’ll rewrite it under my personal account. If you value customer service, return calls and actually getting a quote timely, don’t contact Lewis Agency. After calling and speaking with someone on a quote, I filled out the online request and attached the photos for the home. The confirmation was the last correspondence initiated by the company. Monday I followed up and was told they were working on it. Tuesday I called and was told they were busy and if they said they were working on it I should have it soon. Wednesday still nothing, (by now I’ve requested quotes from two other insurers and received them) and Jordan explained again they were busy but trying to get to it (unlike Monday when they were already working on it). After calling again Thursday, Jordan explained Mr Lewis was going to be working late and would send it over that evening. He mentioned he would call Friday morning to make sure it was received. I called Friday mid day again since nothing was received. It was the same excuse of being busy and not sure what to say. After investing a weeks worth of work to get a quote, I told him if the service was this bad before a policy is bound, I wouldn’t expect anything different if not worse when a client. If I could rate this 0 stars I would.

I need to get my vehicle fixed, or at least get that process started. Think twice before considering Lewis and Lewis.

Experiencia negativa: I am absolutely mortified with the experience I am currently having with Lewis And Lewis insurance agency. There is a person there named JORDAN who is highly incompetent. He has poor customer service skills, and in fact, hung up on me. He refused to listen to me and told me I was LYING. I am licensed Clinical social Worker licensed at the level of independent private practice. I have done home assessments for adoptions and foster care, patient evaluations, Was a behavioral health case manager for an INSURANCE company, and have testified in court as an expert witness for residential treatment cases, custody cases, and forensic cases. On Monday, Jim Lewis told me that, "We will fight for your case, we will do everything in our power to get your case paid. Jordan has been pretty good at handling these things, I will give it to him. We will do everything we can to be certain this case is taken care of." JORDAN is not good at handling these things. He replied to me initially with the WRONG claim number. He had not read my emails prior to talking to me on the telephone. I am in a situation, where my husband was driving my truck, fully licensed, and was T-boned by a Mexican Police Car. The Qualitas adjuster requested 20,000 pesos to settle the claim - a bribe. My husband did not pay it. So the police issued a ticket for him being an unlicensed driver, at the advice of the adjuster. KNOWING that the claim would not be paid if he was unlicensed. He gave his license at the scene. And JORDAN also has a copy of said license. My truck was towed and impounded. JORDAN never once called me to update me on the progress of our case. He was unable to tell me where my vehicle was. (I still don't know where it is.) He did not forward ALL of the photographic evidence, and emails to the Adjuster's manager. Every day he told me a different story and that I would get an email or phone call by the end of the day. Yesterday supposedly I was going to get an email from him as to the assigned lawyer for the case. Never got one. He openly said to me that I LIED. I never once have told him an untruth, but he has told me many. He is highly unmotivated and has the worst customer service skills I have ever experienced. A corrupt police department and a corrupt adjuster colluded to extort my husband of 20,000 pesos and He said I am lying. The same adjuster FORGED the accident report and FORGED (badly) , my husband's signature. I do not know where my truck is (6 days after the claim). I am not a Karen. I am not a liar (How could I give expert court testimonies if I was? Or keep my license with zero ethical violations in 34 years?) I did not yell at him. All he did was talk over the top of me, not believe this horrific experience we are having, call me a liar, and advise us to pay the ticket for being unlicensed ( which would cost us the claim) There is easily 7-9000 dollars worth of damage to my truck. We do not know it's where abouts, and we have been called liars by an INSURANCE AGENT. I still owe 12,000 on my vehicle. Jordan is a horrible agent and has very bad customer service skills. I will be finding a different insurance agency. DO NOT USE THESE CHARLATANS.
